All of the info that drew shared with me is posted in the first post of this thread! When I was talking to him he just told me more specifics, that are hard to describe over a forum without making a huge post.

The cause of the failure IMO is not hard to figure out based on the info Drew posted in this thread. There were loads placed on the engine that exceeded what the parts could handle. Unfortunately, that is the chance you take when going FI and running high boost on a high compression engine like engine this.

For me to come out and tell you that one thing alone caused the failure would not be accurate. Multiple issues caused this failure and the tight clearances that BMW uses in the S65 certainly didn't help anything.

The main thing to note is that Gintani replaced the engine in Drew's car for him, not all other tuners would have done that! I don't intend to come on here and say "Don't buy a Gintani kit because your engine will blow up". I think that is what a lot of people would like to hear.

So let's leave it at this, Drew lost his engine but Gintani fixed it for him a no cost to him. If anyone is interested in putting a supercharger on their car, they need to look at all the systems available and make the choice themselves based on their own priorities and instincts.
