Not sure about that, mate. But any inline filter will certainly hold infinitely more debris than the suction pre-filter in the pump.
Only need to worry about handling pressure and the needed flow.

After the pressure sensor doesn't seem good, because any pressure loss caused by the filter won't be noticed by ECU, and no compensation will be done by the pump module, I think.
Must be before the sensor.
