I think this is also consistent with what you see even in the FS section of the forum, and a good use of objective data. Prices for 'unicorns' going up, well maintained lowish mileage holding relatively steady and then some cars with more stories still depreciating slightly. As with every market, each item will have to be judged on its own merit of where it stands in that curve/range.
