I owned a 2006 M5 and then moved onto a 2015 M3 and then traded it for a 2016 M4 GTS to which I still have today. I also recently acquired a 2012 M3 with 8800kms 2 months ago.

My friends have been asking me why i would pick up the M3 when I have the mighty M4 GTS at home. I have to explain to them that the V8 in the M3 is just special and like no other in the BMW lineup. Yes the V10 roars too, but it's got too many flaws with it's vanos system and the SMG is crap. The V8 with the DCT is like the perfect match along with the smaller more nimble size of the car.

The V8 M3 is already a classic at this moment and the price for a well maintained, unmolested example will only keep climbing up in price. But the ones that's been neglected and heavily modded will continue to go down in price.
