I'm talking about laying down suppressing fire. Normally with a LMG you have a bipod that allows you to empty a drum into a concentrated area using longer bursts (not just all at once, then your barrel would be fucked). I dunno.... I know that making snipers more effective is the last thing this game needs, but for a somewhat realistic FPS, it's going to take a lot of getting used to no prone. BUT, everything else in this game (besides normal bugs and tech issues typical at launch) makes it worth the compromise.
