Being a gateway-based system, this is necessary. We can utilize a Plug and Play harness, but obviously - this will increase the cost of the system. If this is something people are actively searching for - there is a possibility of adding it in the near future as an available option.

Metra harness ends do not have the correct provisions. For those with simple DIY skills, I don't see the current solution as a problem.
