Questions/concerns:

-Is there any benefit of running anything larger than a 5mm spacer in front?
-Is it generally considered safe to use a 5mm spacer in front: like the TMS 5mm spacers?
Biggest benefit would be increased inner clearance of the strut. I have been running my 18x10's up front with a 5mm spacer up front without issue, however I would recommend an 8 or 10mm spacer to leave more space.

10.5 will need a larger spacer up front than the 10" wheel, regardless of camber. Since the inner and outer clearances are both decreased by 6.3mm, you'll want a 10mm spacer and a lot more camber.
