Decided to pull the trigger on the Signature Werks ZL1 1LE retrofit kit [F 6-piston +R 4-piston].

Been assessing ‘balanced’ performance/price/hassle-free upgrade solution for a while. With M3Post reviews, other sources, and probing along with multiple emails with Nick@Signature Werks…Order placed.
IMO…
F80 M4 Retrofit- Approach is discouraging, fraught with a plethora Extras req’d - parts, fitment mods, labor while fronts with only 4-pistons… too much hassle, and still a bit pricey given all [ i.e. restricted to 19” wheels, spindle replacements, cutting, etc]
Cost/Benefit - Since I don’t track, no need to spend > +$8K for an AM F+R retrofit. Expecting a solid improvement in performance & ‘curb appeal’ fit the bill for my OE+ daily drive.
Other Factors:
- Written 'confirmation' obtained - Genuine GM/AC Delco Brembo calipers [not import knock-offs]
- Front - New CNC-machined ZL1 1LE
- Rear - Refurbished CNC-machined ZL1 1LE
- Caliper Quality – Reasonable expectation from OE Brembo manufacturing standards
- Fitment – Retaining OE 18” rotor size; no mods/cutting req’d
- Consumables – Pads options not restricted by ‘custom build config’
- Warranty – 1yr… ehhh, good nuff [same GM provides for direct purchase]
Obviously, outcomes pending until install/use. Certainly, will provide feedback/results with experience and miles.
