I also thought the M3 would be a fine choice, it is a wonderful car. I bought it just for that purpose. How amazing an idea is it to have one car that can be driven year round, daily, be fun to drive, comfortable and yet still able to tear it up on an occasional track day?

unfortunately, the reality has been that it is not as reliable as I would like and I do not have the time to deal with even the little things that do not prevent it from being driven, but are very annoying, and should not be happening on a fully developed 74K (with taxes) BMW.

I still drive it, and I still love it. When it starts up and I can hear and feel that engine idling, and give it some gas to listen to it burbling back down to idle, it gets in my blood, and makes me want to go driving just to listen to it. All I am saying is that if I am going to have this car for a while, these issues had better be resolved by BMW forthwith.
