Typically you run thinner oils as you reduce clearance. So perhaps they have a tight spec but they manage the tolerance stack properly? Or, perhaps they designed the engine properly this time as the S55 has not yet started to spin bearings...
Wonder if anyone actually has the "/" measurements from the S63 and S55. Would be interesting to know what BMW designed those engines with.
