Lol yes, I would consider you guys nerds I want people I can talk gadgets with! I've been messing with arduino lately
I'm an electrical engineer. Arduino is great to start off with. Teaches you a lot of the basics to programming a microprocessor and there are tons of great projects on the internet to do.

If you enjoy programming the arduino, start teaching yourself C. It's necessary for any engineering and is really the bottleneck to most people in school.
