In the afternoon session, I started pushing the gas pedal into the detent to trigger wheelspin off the line, and didn't notice as much (or any?) delay during the 1-2 shift. Not sure if the two are related, though.
I've experienced the DCT "thinking" before during runs, both for upshifts and downshifts, with quite a delay sometimes. Seems to only happen while turning, but not consistently. I don't know how to predict it yet so my solution has been to shift earlier or later.
