Because like I said, they still fail. So the upgrade you're paying for isn't doing anything. It's a waste of time and money.
Not sure if the P/N was ever revised. Given FCP's lifetime warranty on all parts I'd buy it from them and never have to pay for another one when/if it fails in the future.
