1. You WERE following too closely
2. You ADMITTED you were following too closely
3. There is a law against following too closely to prevent fender benders
4. You broke that law and were properly ticketed
Why would you take this open and shut case to court? Leave at least a car length or two of distance between you and other cars in the future and pay the damn fine.
