OP - you sound like a defensive butt hurt e9x owner as you described in your original post.
A few of my friends have picked up F80's and they are very nice cars. These are all guys who owned e46 and e9x's prior. The f8x beats the e9x in every aspect on paper. More power/tq, mpg, track times, weight, brakes, etc. etc. etc. but what they lack to me personally is emotion. I own two s65 powered cars and love the powerplant and platform tremendously but despite my affections it, I will not be blind to the potential of the new. Me not being interested in one is subjective, my friends that were interested who did purchase them really do enjoy the car.
