It's really, really hot. Got an engine temperature warning at 275-280 degrees, so I took it easy. I set my best time of 2:08.64ish this morning after first warming up the tires, lol. I didn't have the track memorized yet either. I haven't been able to catch it since. All my times now are 2:09 etc. Definitely not taking 2nd place in the Bimmer Challenge today!
Went off track a couple times. First off, I didn't catch a slide properly - not really used to doing it so quickly with the gloves, and since the gloves are really sticky, when I went to unwind the wheel, I did it by letting go - only I didn't let go enough. Just dumb on my part. Second time happened in the same messed up lap, lol. This one I carried too much speed into a turn and didn't make it - went straight off.
Fortunately both times were forgiving. Spun out in front of people the first time too.
