I am sure that many of you got into cars because your father's also where car guys. I met my dad for breakfast this morning and to my surprise he had a brand new e63 S AMG wagon that he had ordered 6 months ago!!
The said he had to have this one so the dogs would be comfortable in back. He has had over 300 cars in his lifetime and is where I can trace my passion for cars also. I am not sure if any one you have run into this but he always says. THIS IS GOING TO BE THE CAR THAT I AM GOING TO KEEP FOREVER. This never happens!
I am much like him but have a couple that I am truly never selling. These include

2. 1953 CJ3b jeep.
3. 1995 Avus blue e36
4. Soon to be bought 2012 e92.
I feel these are keepers and I am a bit of a pack rat.
I wanted to share my dad story and hear any others. I just had a son and plan on turning him to the dark side of being a car guy. Sometimes my check book wishes I was not a car guy but what is life without a PASSION !!!
