Definitely not recommended to mix. Every tire has a little bit of it's own 'personality' in how it handles. For example: How much slip angle does it take to generate max grip? How does it respond to different temperatures? How does its wet traction compare to its dry traction? How fast does it respond to a change in direction?

Sometimes the mix is not that noticeable, but other times it can give some strange or unsettled handling feel. It tends to be more noticeable the better handling the car is (obviously very good in the case of the M3), and the more advanced of a driver you are.

If you did mix, you would be best advised to use another max performance summer tire with similar tread pattern and hope for the best, but again, 4 tires of the same type is always preferred.
