Sorry to bump such an old thread, but I just had this happen and have one solution not mentioned above. So I did remove the center cushion ski pass through, but instead of trying to crawl through it, I was able to reach 1 arm through and pull the lever to let the seats fold down. And I'm a pretty short guy with short arms, so anyone should be able to do it this way :P
Edit: And I did try the jump start method, but it didn't work
