my car is not my DD (nor a M3 either
), but i sometimes take it to work on Fridays, go the long way around the city to get there, and end up going for a 2-hr road trip around the city for no reason after work... in the summer, i take the top down, drive 25 min to go to the liquor store, when there's one about 2 minutes from my place... i hate going shopping with my fiancee, except when there's a 30-minute drive to get there... i drove 12-hr in one week-end once to go pick up a friend who lives 3 hrs away so that she can spend the week-end in town...
bottom line is, i think we all drive the extra mile for no reason because we love driving our cars
