two things.
Why is everyone doubting weight reduction on the next gen m3? Just going from a V8 to a straight 6 is weight reduction. Not even mentioning other steps they'll probably take. Plus Scott is usually pretty spot on. So i don't get this "more weight to come" theory?
Second, do you really think they're going to use a N54/N55 variant? Yeah, like they're going to get 440ish hp out of a 3.0. Expect at least a 3.3/3.4/or 3.5 straight 6 FI engine.
The N54/N55 was/is great, but expect it to run in the lower series cars 1, 1m, 135, 335, or whatever the future versions of those may be. 140i, 340i?
M3 will be lighter, M3 will have a different engine than the N55, geez.
