If you look at the majority of the review I believe the conclusion is that at low rpms, IE 2500-3000 the noise you are referring to is the engine "dragging/struggling"... drone is usually associated with the "booming" noise you get while cruising at around 60-70 mph at 2700-3000 rpm, there is no drone at that level....That is why we incorporated the NCC into this system..
