It is fine metal wire to my eyes. I didnt open that section, so I'm not sure what else is in there. I just see some metal hairs poking out.

[UPDATE; was able to reach in and feel some of them today, I think they are more a fiber of some kind.. fiberglass perhaps?!]

Sorry folks, no update tonight. We couldn't get together.
