Update, it was a CAN bus communication issue. I reseated both the black and blue connectors on the JBE, its very possible I didn't have them fully seated, seems you gotta push them in with some force, pulling the locking arm alone didn't work for me as I reseated them both last night as well.

Car is running well again, hopefully it stays that way! Now I can get my state inspection done and get my BW X-pipe and Epic tune back on!
