With my 2022 S1000RR, on cold start, the RPMs are limited I forget what the starting ceiling RPM is. As the engine warms up, the DME for the bike begins to raise the rev limiter until the engine reaches optimal running temperature where you get full red line.

And so does my M4, when its cold its limited to 3000 rpm, then to maybe 6000 and then after that it shows red area at 7250rpm max. M3 E46 had this some 20+y ago.
It happens also when Fuel is really low on reserve, you are limited to 3000rpm
