We do remove weight to achieve balance with the lighter rotating assembly. We balance all of our motors to </= 1gram.
We do not knife edge. Significant testing across countless engines has proven that it’s not worth the effort because the process typically throws the crank miles out of balance, which requires adding in new heavy metal cylinders into the crank to regain the lost weight, then removing more weight to bring it all back into spec, all for what has been an immeasurable difference in performance in our testing.
