Hi need help with my bmw app on imported m850i

Hello everyone

I recently purchased a 2021 bmw m850i after 5 years with bmw i8.

I live in Europe ,
And the car I bought was imported from Canada and wasn’t purchased at the local dealer.

Because of that , the local my bmw app doesn’t work with the car.

I contacted bmw connected drive support team in the u.s, sent them a proof of ownership and they told me to download the Canadian version and they connected the car to my user.

Even though I can see the car in the app, it doesnt update since the 22 of July, when the car wasn’t in my ownership but it did was in europe.

After trying to figure it out with bmw support, they told me to reboot the infotainment but still nothing changed, and after they just said they can’t guarantee that the connected drive will work because the car is imported and isn’t ment to be sold here.

Even though I do believe that I can do something about it because the car did seems to work with the app about a month ago with the previous owner.

Also, the maps on the car doesn’t work but it’s not really a thing since I use CarPlay, but probably connected to the issue with the app.


Can someone help me with that?
I have BimmerCode and the adapter if it’s something that can help.
