If street driving, I would stick with 1-2. Or lift more weights.
Once you are moving it won't feel significantly different street driving. If you are turning laps at a track, you'll definitely notice after 15 minutes. I would describe it as making the steering less sensitive.
Lower speeds, yeah...gonna notice it.
If this is purely a street car you can eliminate most of the spillage by filling the reservoir to the bottom on the dipstick. If you do that, then all would need is 1 shim if you just want to eliminate the fluid leakage. Unless you're running it to redline all of the time.
