People are solving that problem here by using diesel stabilizers like Almax (VW).
About gasoline, the only thing I know here is that regular gas should be consumed before 3 months, while top tier gas has that time extended to 6 months. If it has anything with injector failure like diesel does, I don't know.

Yes, I’ve heard about the same. In the US I use premium gasoline from like Shell or Chevron of course and my car sits regularly for like 23 months and I’ve never had a problem. I will be doing a fuel injector replacement because it’s just passed 100,000 miles Just for good measure, but I don’t think I really need to put stabilizer in it for when it sits in the garage for 23 months max. Other is more smart than us on gasoline can chime in with their thoughts. Greatly appreciated.
