E90 is shorter than E92/3. It's not that it won't fit, but it may not look exactly as you'd expect with the tips tucked in further.

Also worth noting that it isn't a life changing deal to change the tips to something else. I went the other way and took an E92 exhaust and welded my own "custom" tips so that it would fit my E90 as an example. Not a massive task (for someone else that knows how to weld, not me )
