Installation was pretty straight forward.

Locked cams on bank 1 as well as the crank pulley on the TDC position. To lock the cams I used a 27mm wrench [I think this was the size]. It takes some effort to move the cams into the locking position as there is little slack on the timing chain. Once there, just removed the bolt from VANOS intake, removed the plastic cover, which was like new btw, and installed the Mporium part.

I could not use my degree tool, so after torquing the first steps, I marked the cover at 200 degrees and torqued the final step.
I did not follow the installation procedure entirely; I did not release the VANOS bolts and redid the whole process, but this is just me.

As a side note, the cylinder head covers were in really bad condition. I also replaced the spark plug tubes with some aluminum ones. I am pretty happy with the results.
