I think I had the updated one like you and it was still very tight to fit it in - there is a significant bending load on the the quick-connect couplings - no leaks for me so far though.

How is yours holding up? I just installed my fuel filter kit and also noticed a bending load on the quick connects on both sides of the filter. This is concerning to me. Any issues with yours so far?
