At Mid-Ohio this weekend with the M3 (2011 E90.) Both my daughter and I were sharing the car. EVERY time she was finishing up a session she had the SES come on for a 2F9 (coolant temp sensor) code. Read the code and reset it each time. It NEVER popped up when I was running, nor any other time. I can't imagine a scenario that would cause this weird behavior. No overheating. No limp mode. Ran great, other than the code getting thrown when my daughter was driving.

Thoughts?

Thanks in advance.
Get a proper scanner--like ISTA, and check what your actual values are. You could have a temp sensor issue. Or you can have a tstat issue.

Need better information with data.
