Agreed, but those type of pumps are belt driven, gear driven, or shaft driven. No such 'drive' mechanism appeared visible for the "sucking jet pump" on the diagrams I could see. Which is why I erroneously suspected it was an electrical pump.
spammysammich 's mention of it being a 'vacuum' pump was in response to this observation.
