I personally think the i4, i5, i7 trio are the best non-Tesla EVs currently on sale. The MB is an abomination, Audi SW is junk, Taycan interior is a mess with functions randomly assigned to the multiple screens.
I think BMW is really getting their costs under control with i8/9 across all their models, and giving into Android and NACS. Porsche, MB, VWAG have their SW and displays in total disarray. And the BMW cars have by far the best dynamics (driving).
I actually think BMW maybe the single best positioned legacy automaker making the EV transition.
They just need customers to want to buy them small detail

Tend to agree. A few problems with customers wanting to buy them. The main one is the lack of charging infrastructure. The second is how creatively they’ve niched the products. The sedan is out of vogue in general, at least over the past several years. The i4 is cramped. The i5 is ugly. The i7 is enormous and very expensive. The iX is also unfortunately ugly and expensive and lacks a 3rd row. They’ll figure it out eventually. And the comment about ugly = sales only works for high performance M variants and because the competition has disappeared.
