The USD is the world's currency. Every bank, equity, commodity ect is traded in USD. That's why we have a huge army, to make sure everyone follows 'our' rules

Back on topic though I'm pretty sure Corsa exhaust has been the same price for a decade so it didn't jump 50% in a. short time. Eventually prices need to go up when technology can't cause deflation.
