Prior to that, I had several tries at custom buds. None of them reduced the sound enough, and a few of them even fell out during enduros (which is awesome when you are trying to talk to pit). The last time I wore them, I put them in and taped over them so they couldn't fall out
I have Stilo ST5. hehe so I have a story about this topic. I actually have two of them.....remember the story at COTA where the transport guy left my Stilo ST5 helmet in CA, so I had to borrow a helmet from a friend who happened to have a brand new Stilo ST5 same size as mine. Well, I wore it so many times and sweat in the damn thing so much, it was not right to give it back to him, so I kept it. So, now I have two.

My original Stilo didn't have any communications stuff in it. But my friend's helmet came complete with microphone and headphones. On a helmet of the same size, the headphones literally squeezed my head so hard, I couldn't think straight......I went out on track with the headphones in and literally could not concentrate on driving. I had to come in and remove the communications package. So, I guess if I wanted to run the audio stuff, I would need a bigger helmet which would be bad for blocking sound.....or I would have to find an in-ear audio solution.

The cheap rubber ones are not that bad. I was just trying to find something better. We'll see if I can get the custom ones to do what they claim they can do. I mean, c'mon, they're $240! Apparently, I can get a refund if the re-dos don't net the expected results.
