I got inspiration from your thread and few others to do this build myself.
I just got myself a e36 evo diff (same as e39 m5) and took advantage of the racing diffs promo also, I went stage 3 with the ramp angle adjustment  |

How you planing to set it up, ramp angles and preload? |
I am going to use the 50/65 ramp. Pre-load will be what it will be with the supplied shims. I do like my ZF LSD a lot more than the GKZ that comes with the M3. This is more for fun than anything. If I were going to track the car, I would enlist the help of an expert and buy a built diff.

Ok cheers, I use mine on track and planning to do the build myself,
As long as the core is assembled correctly, back lash is set, what can go wrong
How did you set the pinion crush. What torque setting?
I'm changing final drive at same time to 3.45 (dct) |
I did not have to change the pinion. Just used the ring gear in the new carrier.
