Previous owner smogged car with this tune last year. Also, the tests are showing "pass" but the actual monitor isn't coming ready. In the past with tunes that disable rear O2s, these specific O2 sensor $01-$87 tests will never show "passed".
Car is fully stock with all 4 cats and brand new O2 sensors, replacing TAs today as I've seen a few cases where monitors never show up as ready due to large throttle oscillations during the 55mph highway tests. |
I used the torque app to monitor and it said current drive cycle incomplete, but under emission readiness DTCs everything complete. |
Yeah, you probably haven't cleared codes and are Smog ready. Passing all codes on a normal drive is very uncommon, a drive cycle is a specific set of criteria (idle for ~3min with AC/defroster on, drive at 20-30 for ~5min w/o exceeding 3k RPM then ~10-15min at 55mph w/o exceeding 3k RPM, then coasting to 20mph and idling again) - often takes a few cycles to get all monitors ready... fun stuff!
I replaced TAs today and drove another drive cycle and everything but O2 monitor is ready - does anyone know if dead cats will cause your O2 monitor to not turn on? I have no CELs after ~600 miles of driving (mostly just drive cycles over and over)
Ordered a new tune as I'm putting pulleys, intake and X-Pipes on the car - last resort I'm hoping a stock stg1 tune with my cats on will get all readiness monitors on quicker. I'm quite frustrated
