When my engine was ordered they told me it was a new block from BMW, not a remanufactured one. Not new as in they just made it, but new as in never used before. I'll find out more about it.

Spun bearing at 36k miles on a 2013. Absolutely ridiculous. As I said in another thread, no abuse just spirited driving... proper warm up, no donuts or drag racing, stock redline, oil changed every 6-7k miles, etc. Got the car with 12k miles and the everything was pristine inside and out. It's a complete crapshoot, get your bearings done everyone.
