are you using a new engine from BMW or is it a replacement used engine? if the latter, have the rod bearings replaced
if the former, then you should budget for replacement rod bearings after a couple of years since the OEM bearings wear down
I am told it is a new out of the crate engine from BMW. The car will still have 2 years of its warranty left so I will need to keep it stock or it may void the cover.
I could look at the bearings closer to the warranty end date.
I'll not sure they are new out of the crate engines still available?
