Looking at the photos for no1 rod bearings, are you sure they're in the right place?? I thought that when the mains failed they always took out the adjacent rod bearings, hence doubting they're in the right place in that photo  . I suspect 2 & 3 are 1 & 2.
And was it supercharged?
Also, do you know the year & mileage of that 2nd engine?

Yes, they're in the correct place. You'll note the second main failed first and failed its adjacent rod bearings, the forward main started to spin but the engine locked up before the forward rod spun. I don't have any further details on the engine. You're digging up really old stuff.
Not sure what you mean about a second engine- those two pictures are of bearings from the same engine year/miles are on the paper 2011 E90 73947 miles.
