It's time for a brake
After much debate on which brake setup to go with, I ended up purchasing a set of Stoptech ST60 black with slotted rotors. I realize I don't track that often and a trophy wouldn't benefit me enough to warrant the price jump. So here I am with a front kit that is subtle in color to match the rear stock brakes too. I ordered HTC60 brake pads but since COVID has canceled my latest HPDE event on 4/4, the ST309 pads from Stoptech will do for the street.
#Installation
This is was a pretty simple job. The largest thing to do was to cut the dust shield to clear the caliper bracket. Besides that, it was a trivial install.
Clearance of the barrel is pretty close but it's not enough to be worried about it. It definitely won't hit during normal operation.
After everything is done and back on the floor!
After bedding in the wheels, I have to say the brakes are wonderful. Welcome back to fixed calipers!
Hopefully I will be able to take it out to the track soon...
