Not sure if you sorted out the details for the splitter support rods, but the top end of the support rods on my setup are supported by a metal bracket on the inside of the bumper to help spread the load out.
This is what my friend's looks like on the inside of the bumper. I just saw the inside of my bumper at COTA when we installed the headlight blanks. My metal bracket may even be wider.
With that front aero, you will start dealing with the bumper pulling down to some extent. I highly recommend those AeroCatch latches I have between my fender and bumper and get rid of the thin metal hanger clip between the two. Mine bent down at high speeds and started grinding the tire. Since the AeroCatch latches went on there----no issues. |
I mounted my supports to the carbon crash beam. Also, I'm not using solid support rods. Went with cable so it would allow flex upwards without breaking the splitter (think about unloading from a trailer or going off), but still strong enough to support the weight of downforce
