A 1000rpm idle would be fine with me. Stalling wouldn't, poor step-off or poor sub-3000-rpm power delivery wouldn't.
It has to be able to still be a tractable, stop-and-go traffic daily-capable engine for me to be interested. I don't have the DCT to cover up the engine's recalcitrance if it doesn't want to be a normal car engine when its' time to normal car things
I think that's where the 4.4 would come in to give bit more oomph and help it along where it might nto be happy with wider throttle openings at low rpm - that's where I drive half the time - below 3k - and I'd rather have the drivability than the bananas 7k-redline. Appreciate the continued input on how this is going and how the car behaves. Would love to haer your impressions on how your setup behaves in everyday situations like that.
