I think for the true enthusiast the M3 would seem a good value. When you consider it offers a well balanced portion of sport, luxury, and aesthetics. But in a more competitive market, an economy in recession, gas prices through the roof, and the uncertainty of things. Many consumers including myself are on a wait and see approach.
Yes, it is true the 335 coupe was no were to be seen. We were the first in our county to have a 335 sedan. Shortly thereafter I enquired on the coupe and it had a more aggressive list. Yes the M3 is more expensive, it will no doubt sell very well. But its release is a real bad timing kind of thing.
The fact that I can call three local dealers and they all have multiple M3's on the lot is very interesting.
