295 on an 11 is ideal IMO. It's at the max wheel width spec for that tire size. As a result you get the most out of the tire. More wheel width increases tread width and sidewall support. That being said, I don't recommend stretching beyond the manufacturer's recommended width. However there are instances where car manufacturers use wheels wider than the tire's recommended spec. For example the 997 GT3 uses a wheel wider than the tire's spec.
