Sound is about the same between the two because it uses the same airbox.
In my opinion, construction of BMC filter is nicer. I tried to use the bmc with dinan elbow, but the connection was wrong; imagine rectangle for an oval... Anyhow this item was sold a long while back, no regrets with dinan elbow nor bmc filter. Good luck!
