Following up my earlier bearing pic post. More detailed pics and black stone.

To recap. 08 e90. 43,000 mi. Oci about 5000 to 7500.

1 track day at Laguna on last oci going at beginner speeds.

Sad that my lead went up to 18 this time right before the bearing change. Ended up going with BE with BE bolts and doing the bimmerworld dipstick while the oil pan is out (tricky to get installed correctly but it’s good now) New motor mounts made a surprising difference in drivability even on a gently driven 43k mile car. Driving in stop and go traffic is no longer the pain it was before.

Copper shows at some of the bearing ends. Is this common?
