93 pump plus a 50/50 water/methanol in a quantity of about 20% is similar to 100 octane race gas. To push the limits you really want a direct port kit -- 8 nozzles one into each runner to each throttle body and you want to tune for it. The problem is I don't think you can have a safeguard with the stock ecu should flow stop. 2ndary injection is not as reliable as factory fuel injection. E85 through the factory injection is safest.
I don't think meth is unreliable. It's just not as reliable. I have used it for over 15 years on various cars. My turbo e36 flows about 15-20% water/meth to fuel, using 25 percent water and 75 percent meth, through a nozzle on each manifold runner, but is not tuned specifically for the meth. Been running meth on that car for 10 years. My 08M3 is naturally aspirated but I run about 20% water/meth to fuel using 25% water and 75% meth through 2 nozzles in the head of the air filter, and the car is tuned for it using a Vishnu Procede that increases timing and has a failsafe reverting to stock if flow stops. Been running that system for 4-5 years.
